Export data from Tableau Server to .xls or .xlsx. Follow the steps below to export data from Tableau: Open the view on Tableau Server, and then select Download > Crosstab . Open the resulting .csv file in Microsoft Excel. In Excel, save the file with a .xls or .xlsx file extension.
